Harvard

| Almost
everyone who drives through Harvard
falls in love with it, and it's easy to understand
why. The town has jealously guarded its small-town,
country quaintness, and is working hard to
preserve it, through the Conservation Commission
and the Harvard
Conservation Trust. Whatever the season,
Harvard's rural byways are relaxing and beautiful,
in an unplanned, just-natural sort of way.
There is a considerable amount of open space
under the jurisdiction of both the town and
the federal government, and the panoramic
views from Harvard's hills can be breathtaking
on a clear day. New construction occurs in
isolated pockets, but not nearly as much as
in adjoining towns. The town has set the minimum
lot size at 1.5 acres (4.5 acres for a "hammerhead"
lot), with minimum frontage of at least 180
feet. |
